Colorado Projects

Description of Scope:

Main Street Power (MSP) installs active solar projects in low-income communities using green job workforce development programs. S.B. Clark Companies worked with MSP on its initial NMTC financing to install 2.8 megawatts (MW) of distributed solar power systems on buildings owned by Denver Public Schools (DPS), the City and County of Denver, the County of Pueblo, and State of Colorado Correctional Facilities.

Project Size:

The $18.5 million financing incorporated senior debt from Morgan Stanley Capital Group, two CDEs and U.S. Bank as the NMTC equity investor.

Services Performed:

S.B. Clark Companies managed a competitive process for placing the NMTC equity investment and assisted MSP in evaluating and securing two CDEs, each brining approximately $10 million of NMTC allocation. The firm worked with MSP and the legal teams of the financing partners to evolve and model a NMTC structure acceptable to the financing partners and their legal counsel.
